Presented by Goldenvoice & Wake Me When I’m Free; Keyshia Cole, Jon B and Goapele hit the stage for a very special Mother’s Day event in Los Angeles. Cole performed some of her hit singles such as “Love” and “Playa Cardz Right” featuring Tupac Shakur. The song which was featured on Tupac’s last posthumous release “Pac’s Life,” wasn’t the only Tupac song played at the special event.

Tupac’s iconic ‘Dear Mama’ single was also played hours after FX had announced the upcoming docuseries titled ‘Dear Mama’ which dives into the lives of Tupac and his mother Afeni.

Shortly after, Keyshia Cole would introduce the Outlawz to the “Novo” crowd on hand. “We’re giving some love to ‘Pac today so I brought the Outlawz with me,” Coel said. “They’re going to perform one of my favorite songs. I feel like it’s specially dedicated to me right now.”

Cole could be referring to the chest pains she suffered days prior to the event which led to her going to the hospital. “I’m so proud of getting a few hours sleep, literally have been getting None!” she wrote on her IG Story. “So not ok. SMH. And, have been having the worst anxiety attacks. When I can literally feel my heart hurting. Had to take my ass to the emergency room. They gave me damn medicine for anxiety [face palm emoji] I didn’t KNOW wtf was happening to me.”

The Outlawz would then hit the stage and performed their 1999 hit single ‘Baby Don’t Cry.’ The single was featured on the Tupac and Outlawz platinum album “Still I Rise.” “Put your two’s in the air right now,” Outlawz told the crowd on hand. “I need Los Angeles to put their two’s in the air right now for Tupac Shakur.”
